Light of Light, Star of Heaven;  Our Promise of Everlasting Life

A kaleidoscope of Mary’s role in our salvation.

Therefore the Lord will give you this sign,

The virgin shall be with child, 

And bear a son

And shall name him Immanuel,

When Mary heard the angel’s voice she said I will,

Elizabeth said blessed are you among women,

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

My spirit rejoices in God, my savior.

The words of Simeon at the Presentation,

behold  this child is destined,

For the fall and rise of many in Israel,

And you shall be pierced with thoughts of many,

At the foot of the Cross was Mary his Mother,

As he hung there he said to his mother,

Woman behold your son, then to John,

To his disciple, behold your mother.

In the beginning was the Word,

And the Word was with God,

And the Word was God,

He was in the beginning with God.
