Repentance
Repentance of our sin
Sometimes it’s hard confessin’
For pride she raises her huge head
But do we understand or do we just dread
Telling someone especially a religious
Is hard even when we know they can’t see us
That what we are telling through a priest a man
Is so hard because we’re too human
Like the ten lepers who received healing
Only one had the strength to thank and receive true cleansing
How sad for the nine not reconciling
Especially with our Lord who knows when we’re lying
So attend confession and make it real
Gaining the grace of God how good will you feel
Not only you but also your soul
Together forever bound for Heaven’s the goal
Amen
