The Sabbath
Sunday should be restful not worrisome
It should not be stoic and burdensome.
The Pharisees had exploited their law
To make the Sabbath feel almost dirty and small
Our Lord was caught red handed eating
But the exploiters called it harvesting
Their hearts so closed and truly cold
They really had died before they got old
The Lord’s day is made for worship and family
For enjoying food and rest and but prayerfully and respectfully
There is no harm in fun or eating
So long as we know it’s truly for feasting
The Sabbath day is made for man not man for the day
Enjoy the time spent with your family and to the Lord offer all and pray
Amen
