Grandma and Grandpa
Leave it up to God to make something as beautiful as a shining star to be the sign that leads the Magi to come and adore the King of Heaven. A star that leads the shepards, that having looked up into the sky hundreds of times, to be the sign of their Freedom and their Redeemer.
It is a great phenomenon, these stars that twinkle and glow in the darkness of the night sky. So soothing, so comforting, that you can even wish upon one.
Mary, our Mother, is called the "Morning Star". Of course. The Mother of God takes her rightful place a long side Him in all of Her beauty...
Imagine being an Astronomer and as your profession, it was to study and find constellations. Upon looking through your telescope and seeing a majestic star, one you have never seen before, and being so fascinated you must follow it to it's location. Not realizing it is leading you to salvation. Days of traveling, you finally arrive to a shed. Not a majestic palace, but a baby, laying in a manger, meant for animals to eat out of. A common looking man and woman, kneeling beside that baby in adoration. How awesome is He who humbled Himself to share in our humanity. Hallelujah!
The stars are another marvel of the awesomeness of our Almighty God. Who in His all knowing, created them, as everything, for a purpose.
So the next time you are out at night, look lovingly up at the sky. Notice the 1st star you see. Close your eyes and make a wish. It's already come true....
