The Time Is Now

The Baptist his deed accomplished 

The deliverer of the Messiah finished 

But the price he had to pay has arrived

An arrest that will lead to the loss of his head 

Jesus knows it is time now to act

To begin His ministry time now to react

He calls to some fishermen one by one 

Andrew Simon and then James and John 

The last two left Zebedee their father to mend their fishing nets in the boat

Along with the hired men their gear and their fishing rope

His ministry now begun 

Only eight more and the deal sealed and done

He’ll have his troop His amazing Apostles 

Little do they know that they are about to up-end the world we know this Man and his amazing Disciples 

Our trust must therefore forever be in Him our Lord Jesus Christ 

He Who adores and cherishes all of us every single day and night 

Amen
