CONFESSION#RECONCILIATION#HEALING
Everyday, we pray. We pray for loved ones, for those who request prayer, and just prayers of praise and thanksgiving to our Lord God.
I wondered recently, "Lord, are the people I pray for being healed, being helped or growing in their faith and love for You? Or, when I pray for conversion of lost souls, are they saved?"
The readings of today, answered my question.
From Mark chapter 4--
He said,
“To what shall we compare the Kingdom of God,
or what parable can we use for it?
It is like a mustard seed that, when it is sown in the ground,
is the smallest of all the seeds on the earth.
But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants
and puts forth large branches,
so that the birds of the sky can dwell in its shade.”
We never do see that mustard seed take root in the ground. We never see the daily progress of that sapling's growth--but all trees, all plants, with warmth, with rain, with the proper elements---all grow to do the work of the Lord that they were designed for.
We may not see the obvious or the hoped for results of our daily prayers---but like all seeds planted ---they are heard and answered by God's perfect Will, by His perfect design.
So have faith and believe---keep on praying and with faith that sees the unseen, believe in God's mercy, love and know the prayers are heard and keep on praying. May God's peace be with you always--
