It has been said once and it will be said repeatedly… Elections have consequences. It may seem redundant, yet it does have meaning when we cast our votes during every election cycle. This is, as our “Catholic” President of the United States once said, “The battle for the soul of this nation”. How ironic. He hasn’t taken a good look at his own soul let alone repented of the state of mortal sin he is living.
With a crucial election coming up, we must do our part to ensure that real and authentic voices get on the ballot and in time ensure America first policies and values are on the agenda. Has America had enough of the lip service of established incumbents on both sides? We already saw an alarming article about how Democrats are doubling down their efforts to promote the culture of death as they continue to alienate their voter base evermore.
Meanwhile, the Republican voters have much work to do to ensure that a pro-life majority secure victories from the White House to State House and every level in between. They may lack the message to young voters who are relying heavily on social media and bias information to help them sway their decision. Even worse, they rely on star power like Taylor Swift who writes songs about bad decision (go figure). Gosh, I knew she was trouble when she took the spotlight. Yet, what the minions of Satan underestimate is how God and truth is on the side of the vigilant Catholics who care about the future of America.
Thankfully, we have trustworthy Catholic sites like CatholicVote that is keeping Catholics informed on how we can defeat Biden and his loons this November.
What is missing big time is those who are vocal about the issue. We need more voices to get loud about this issue.
CLERGY SPEAK UP
We can start by encouraging our clergy to be more vocal about the issue. Surely, the whole “God is love” homily may sound great. However, we need to talk about issues that truly matter for the sake of every soul of Americans. If the clergy want to inflict the fear of God in every member of the church, they can begin by preaching the truth with clarity and charity.
Some priests and bishops are afraid. Shame. Then why did they give God their yes in the first place? Their vocation is more than just to cater to those who are interested in bringing in money for the offertory or the school. It’s about leading their flock to Jesus. If a priest or bishop sees someone walking out of Mass when they talk about how abortion is destroying society, it shows that he is calling the faithful to be more concerned about real issues and to remind them to get their conscience clear.
Clergy, speak up. Rise up
Boots on the Ground
If we care about the direction our nation is going and want to make changes that are in line with church teachings, it is time to step up. We must knock on doors, peacefully demonstrate, and expose the hypocrisy of radical left. Social media will not change or sway anything. We must play an active role in raising awarenesss of the issues at hand.
Faithful Catholics must step up
Archbishop Fulton Sheen reminds us that, “Who’s going to save our Church? It’s not our bishops, it’s not our priests and it is not the religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that the priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops, and the religious act like religious.” In other words, it is up to us who care about the Catholic Church. We hold the key for the church to flourish and stand against the rising tide of relativism.
Fight for the Mother Church
We must take this battle to our homes and remind our children the consequences of every decision we make. We have a duty to God and country.
We must vow to protect vulnerable women and children in our society. We must take the fight to the public square. We must not be afraid to have our rosaries and sacramentals ready when we stand outside of abortion facilities praying for conversion of hearts and minds even if we must endure jeers, ridicule, and persecution. We must take the fight as we lobby at City Hall. We must take the heart of our faith on college campuses and school board meetings.
Rise up, Church Militant. Resist the Devil. Soldier on for the battle ahead. Never surrender. Never compromise. Never stop fighting the good fight of faith. Never give Satan an inch. Come to the aid of the Catholic Church
