The Presentation
Today we celebrate the Presentation of our Lord His entrance into society
The day the name Jesus would be given to His Majesty
Two strangers approached that day to pray
Mary and Joseph amazed at what these two people had to say
Anna and Simeon blessed and prophesied
On this Child and how his followers would be mystified
Joseph and Mary’s Son was to become
The Messiah the long awaited Chosen One
Mary in heart already knew
And His earthly Father Joseph we assume too
How wonderful for us today
To celebrate that Jesus our Lord was christened this day
So present to Him daily your woes and cares
And He will listen for He truly hears all our
prayers
The next step in His short earthly journey that day begun
Jesus Who came to save everyone
Amen
