The Eucharist and the Real Presence

Sacred Host
Be with me, Lord Jesus Christ
in this sacred Host,
hidden on the altar here
whom I love the most.
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard
of God’s love divine outpoured
yet I see you, here with me
in this sacred Host. 
 
Bread and wine it is no more
may we now believe
that His body and His blood
this we now receive.
He who calmed the wind and waves
cured the sick, set free sin’s slaves
now lies helpless for our sake
in this sacred Host.
 
Let my heart become like yours
hidden now in me.
Let it love as you have loved
for eternity.
You the world could not contain
and the angels praise, acclaim—
in my heart choose to remain
in this sacred Host.
