The Bread of Life

The Bread of Life 

With His Apostles Jesus spoke saved and healed 

He preached on life and people’s pain He relieved 

His miracles were the talk of the town

The lepers the deaf healed all around 

He fed them when there was nowhere to dine 

At one event with seven loaves and fishes and that worked out fine 

But all this was just a tease for the show

For the big event this audience would never know 

For His big to-do was His Sacrifice that was done for us too

Not just for those at that time it was also offered for me and for you

The True Miracle is his Body and Blood

Given up for all mankind even those in the great flood

For He gave Himself so that we could all live

His life for us all did He freely give 

His Words so bold I am the Bread of Life

Partake of Me and you shall never die

Amen
