Biblical Tips for Reducing Anxiety
When I first saw the liturgical calendar for this year I was a bit disheartened that we will have to fast on Valentine's Day, but as the days were getting closer to February 14th I started having a new appreciation for this year's liturgical calendar. Ash Wednesday is the perfect day for Valentine's Day for us to show God how much we love Him by starting our sacrificial journey for lent.
This year, me and my wife celebrated an early Valentine's Dinner Date on Saturday at a restaurant named Guard and Grace. Although the reason for the owners to name the restaurant was after their daughter, we can use this same words Guard and Grace to guide our heart to a perfect lenten season. We have to constantly be vigilant and guard our heart against the enemy but in doing so, sometimes the process may seem exhausting. In those hours, we can tell our weary hearts to do everything with grace in love for our Lord. I wish everyone reading this article to be able to take this simple principle to guard their hearts from the evil one with grace and grow closer to God this lenten season.
For anyone looking for a simple read this lent to keep you focused during every day of this lenten season you can read my book "2 Minutes A Day Lenten Companion": https://www.amazon.com/2-Minutes-Day-Lenten-Companion/dp/B084Z74XYS/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1707710106&sr=8-1
