Understand 

Every second a baby is born

It could be a person a fish or a fawn

Do we understand that a baby is born

Every minute our heart pumps rhythmically like a drum

Pumping oxygen all around head to toe and thumb to thumb 

Do we understand rhythmically like a drum

Every hour there is sunlight somewhere on this earth

It arises stunningly to warm the water rocks and dirt

Do we understand sunlight somewhere on Earth His earth

Every morning men and women arise and begin their day

Some arise and move on some stop to kneel and to Him pray 

Do we understand arise and begin their day

Plants grow water falls stars come out at night 

With the stars the moon the galaxies 

Do we know or understand what’s needed to make this all work right

Like the Apostles in the boat the miracles they could not understand 

Their mind wrapped up in secular sand

Like us even when we pray to Him do we really comprehend 

Do we understand how hair clings to our clothes or how atoms bind 

Such comprehension is beyond the mind 

Instead follow He who is the Ultimate Find

For everything we see and witness is due to the Blessed Trinity

Three In One Who who govern all eternally 

Our hope must be to live with Them for All eternity 

It’s not for us to understand God’s miracles 

No it is not for us to know 

It is only for us to surrender and trust and in his Love to grow
