America, Return to God
Like many viewers, I watched the matchup no one wanted, but the NFL got what they hoped for just to help fill their pockets. I digress. It was nothing but a leftist ploy that saturated Christ’s true messages, so they can fit their own agenda while distorting Christ’s authentic messages found in scriptures.
The ad shows that Jesus is washing the feet of a myriad of people including those who are living in the state of mortal sin. They need to understand that Christ preached truth, mercy, and love which were the elements of the gospel. Jesus welcomed sinners. He even spent so much time with them. Yet, he never celebrated sin. Rather, he called them to repentance. Three out of four times Jesus talked about hell. He did it because he wanted to warn everyone what can happen when we follow the devil instead of him.
While I commend the group in their efforts to invite people to bring in Christ, they have fallen short (maybe far right like that Bills kicker’s kick in the playoffs). Mainly because they portrayed Christianity with an albeit “rainbow and sunshine” type. Jesus is truth and love.
Matthew 10:24 reminds us that Christ did not come to bring peace but division. His mission in his short three years of his ministry was to expose the hypocrites and save those who were worthy of being saved.
Christ preached the truth. It was received by many, yet he had Pharisees who stood in his way. He never backed down from them. He stood his ground. He only washed the feet of his apostles and disciples in the upper room. Though there was one scene that has gotten people talking
Christ Washing the Feet of Mom Aborting a Child
The one part of the ad that has gotten many people talking is when it depicted Jesus washing the feet of a post-abortive mother. This scene has gotten many people talking that even pro-choicers are reconsidering their stance. There is always room for them.
As a Knight of Columbus, I have stood on the line outside of abortion facilities since 2009. It can be intimidating, yet Christ would have been out there pleading for the life of the voiceless. For men, they can have an opinion on abortion. The Knights have done so much for the pro-life cause. It ranges from participating in pro-life vigils, collecting money and resources for pregnancy centers and even women who have little to no sources from an unplanned pregnancy.
Not many Catholic men are members of this large Catholic fraternity. They’re missing out. Christ is calling men to step into the breach. Men are the best weapons to hinder Satan’s plot to destroy the family and society.
Christ is love because he condemns no one. He loved because he calls us to love our neighbor and enemies.
The money used for that commercial could’ve been used in a much better way, in a way that might have led people to Christ.
No matter how much of a sinner one is, he still gets us. Despite our sins and our ancestors, he is faithful and He’s God, who doesn’t change. His message of repentance does not change even if people expect it to fit their own agenda.
Truth is truth. Yes, the Jesus that gets us is the one who preached love and truth to many. His message will never change even now in the 21st century.
Now, do you get Jesus?
