Thanking God; a Tribute to His Love
Presumption can become a block to eternity!
As we all would like to believe that everyone will end up in heaven, according to what that means individually, the opposite may be the actual result of a loose assumption of God’s generosity.
Of course, the Old Testament scriptures teach us that “if only my people would change their ways and follow my love and forgiveness” I would refrain from their destruction. “If my people, upon whom my name has been announced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my presence and turn away from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and revive their land. Now my eyes shall be open and my ears attentive to the prayer of this place. And now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever; my eyes and my heart also shall be there always.” (2 Chr 7: 14 - 16). A promise to Solomon from God.
Listen to a parent who promises their children a collection of prized artifacts if they will only follow their requirements of doing the simple chores and obey the protection of their rules in this house. However, too often a reckless attitude of some young children think that the promise of his parents is automatic and just because he is their son or daughter the promise is a guarantee of becoming a reality. This is what happened during the days of David, his son Solomon, and many generations after when too many people felt that they did not need to adhere to all the requirements that God imposed upon Israel.
Unfortunately, in today’s Church, and the society we have inherited, listening to some preachers who wish to bring people into their beliefs will tell us that everyone who believes in Christ is guaranteed a place in heaven. Of course, when we see the Passion of Christ and follow him to the cross, presenting the truth of the Resurrection, we will certainly find God’s forgiveness. The answer is yes, we shall be saved from eternal death. But, there have been too many leaders in the world who profess their own gospel and have become Satan’s workers by twisting the truth and presenting their own gos[el of evil upon believers in God. These are the ones who of their own accord will choose to ignore God’s will in their lives and become teachers to unsuspecting people who are easily led into the world of antichrist beliefs. Evil adherents of Satan believe in Christ. They just do not want to obey the simple rules of love and forgiveness to each other. The preachers I alluded to need to make sure that their message includes the caution that saying what you believe is post-scripted with teaching others the meaning of the truth.
When Pilate asked Jesus what truth was all about; Jesus is the Truth! The answer that God gave us through the Incarnation, and consequently opening the gates of paradise through the Blood of Christ. Without this belief to the truth no one will be able to find the path out of darkness to the Light that awaits each of us. This is the message we all must hear and adhere to its meaning. Presuming the path into heaven will leave a blank expression when the gate may be closed because of our saying; “My father said it's okay to just pass through life without all these rules that no one else follows.” Presumption will block our entrance, without the Truth.
