WHAT'S UP GOD!
As I set down to pray one day---- into my heart
“Light a candle,” that Inner Voice did say.
And so a candle was lit.
“Hold it in your hand.”
Holding the candle in my hand, my eyes upon the flame—
“See the lit candle representing the person you are praying for. Their life is in your hands.”
Oh wow!! As my eyes focused on the candle's flame, I noticed the prayers immediately ascending from within my heart rather than just from the lips.
There was a difference! Now those prayers were said with a deep intense desire to want that person to be blessed, healed, helped, delivered---whatever their need---as I held their life in my hand.
“Thank you God for answering my prayer!” I had been asking for a deeper understanding of the power of our daily prayers. He knew exactly what I needed to do. Now whenever I draw away to pray, rather to say a Rosary, or whatever form of prayer I use-- in one hand a special round candle holder with the word, “Hope” written on the side--is held. As the Ave's are spoken, or a name is mentioned, sometimes the need—always my heart is filled with love for this special someone that God so loved---that His Words were spoken---”Light a candle.” He knows exactly what we need to draw us and others closer to Him. He hears our prayers.
It is interesting that this little candle holder was given to me this past Christmas as I visited the Mercy of God Prayer Center in Austin, Texas. They were having a table sale of religious items and Ginny said take anything you want. My eyes went to this little ceramic candle holder. “That is all you want? Oh take something else!” No—this is what my heart saw and wanted. Now I know why.
The Mercy of God Prayer Center is available for anyone who is in need of in-depth prayer/spiritual counseling/or healing. They will set up an appointment and will sit and listen to you and then pray for you—being led by the Holy Spirit to pray for what really needs to be asked for. It was over 30 years ago, as I prayed for direction in my spiritual life, thanks to the yellow pages, and the Holy Spirit, God led me to this awesome place of Mercy and Prayer. As always, You did good God, You did good. Thank You.
Seek the Lord, and He will answer your sincere, humble and heartfelt prayers. May His Peace be with you always, and it will when you draw away to pray. Elizabeth
