Jonah et al. 

Jonah marched through Nineveh

Proclaiming destruction and ruin

The people at first scoffed and laughed

Then reality hit them and then they fasted 

They heeded the sign from the man from the whale

This story true real not a made-up fairy tale 

How many signs and prophecies told

The prophets killed before they grew old

Finally our Lord with His Message and Miracles appeared 

Even then blinded by pride and sin 

These people and the Pharisees not harried

With their terrible brokenness wouldn’t give in

Crucified by them was our Lord

He God’s Begotten Son The Living Word

On the third day after death the greatest sign

He performed His Own Resurrection 

In the Bible we read and in a blue moon experience 

The true signs of our Lord His Magnificence 

Do we act and do His Will 

Or crawl up in our selfishness and be a pill

The prophecies have been given 

Accept believe and you’ll gain Heaven 

Ignore and say it’s all about me 

Don’t complain about it being too fiery

Amen
