Good News from Our Lady of Fatima

The Forgotten Good News from Our Lady of Fatima
The message of Fatima is often portrayed as a dire warning. It was a call to conversion and repentance but it was also full of good news.
It is human nature to focus on the bad news and sensationalize the warnings when it comes to all Marian apparitions. Our first instinct is to think, “Mary came to warn us of chastisements and hellfire”. Of course, she did ask for repentance and conversion to save souls from offending God and to save them from going to hell, but it was not all doom and gloom. Many people get turned off by the message of Fatima for this very reason.
We inadvertently create an imbalance of our perception of Our Lady by drowning out the Gospel message, the Good News that Mary announces over and over.
In the very first appearance of May 13, Our Lady started out by telling the children (and us by extension) to not be afraid. She did not come to scare us. In fact she said, “Please don’t be afraid of me. I’m not going to harm you. I come from heaven.” At Fatima Mary came as a benevolent evangelizer to give us hope not dread. Here are 10 happy promises from Our Lady of Fatima that will lift you up today.
