God wants you to re-gift.
If you were deceived about your inheritance, wouldn't you want to know. You would not want to find out when the will is read that you were outside the family and have no inheritance. And if you, and only you, knew that you were outside the family and have no inheritance, would you live the lie only to be made known in the end?
Of course not. If you knew that you had no inheritance, you would seek to rectify it. Likely by going to your father and mother to seek reconciliation to restore your inheritance. And if you rejected the terms of their reconciliation, surely you would be denying yourself any inheritance.
There is one that seeks to deceive us into believing that we already are due the eternal inheritance. Satan seeks to deceive each one of us in order that we might find out that we truly do not have any inheritance. Surely, Our Father seeks to reconcile us, but we reject His terms or do not listen since we consider our inheritance certain.
While Our Father desires to grant us our inheritance, He will respect our decision if we reject our inheritance. It is nothing lacking in Him, but in us.
If we are deceived and accept our deception though Our Father attempts to correct and reconcile us, what is Our Father left to do. We have rejected Him because the deception was something that we would rather believe. That we would have to change or work hard was too much for us, so we choose the easy path hoping that it would be the correct path without daring to check.
Do not be deceived about your inheritance. Adam and Eve were deceived about their inheritance and lost our inheritance with Original Sin. Our Father offers us a restoration to our original inheritance. Not one that we can pass on to our children any longer, but one that is personal. One that we must maintain.
Do not be deceived, lest you lose the inheritance God has destined for you before the foundation of the world. It is yours to receive if you keep yourself if right relationship with Our Father.
Jesus, help us to be mindful to not accept complacency in our actions lest we consider our inheritance certain. Guide us to Our Father’s Will and strengthen us so that we will accomplish It and receive our inheritance, which You restored for us on the Cross. Amen.
