The light in your eyes

As I sit in my chair on the patio, stealing away a moment for myself, I let my face bask in the warmth of the sun. Heating a fire In my whole body. The day before yesterday, it was 80°...Today, a cold 25°. Up and down we go through life. Whether it's sitting or standing, Sleeping or rising. Opening or shutting. The wheel turns around and around like the seconds on a clock. Marking each moment and placing them in a drawer when the pages are full.

     We know not the day or the hour He says. Stay awake. Don't let Him catch you off guard.....Easy to say. Oh! so hard to do.....If I thought about every action and word before I did it, my soul would surely be worthy of heaven......

     Spun gold. Brighter than any star could shine. That's how God wants us to be.Oh! Weak flesh! Yes! Saint Paul. You said it right! The powers that prevail are strong and weakening.. We must put on the armor "now". We must be ready for battle as David was with Goliath. Nothing has changed from so long ago. The war rages on. Trying with every ounce of strength to take our souls. 

     Living is learning. As long as we learn. Chances upon chances are given to us by the Almighty. At every moment. Some taken, some thrown away. Therefore, leaving it to happen again and again til we understand.

     I love God in His angels and in His saints. I love Him in Mary, our Mother. I love Him in my children. I love Him in the trials and in the joys.

     God, please grant me the grace to not leave yet until I have perfected my love for you, and in so doing, get to see Your Glorious face.
