Here's To A Life Well Spent
What Does God Think About The World Today?
Eileen Renders March 2024
We are living in a time of terrifying, criminal times for young and innocent people, especially God’s children. Somehow, we can overlook 195-mile-an-hour winds and fires that destroy 500 homes in a matter of just two days.
Politicians who perjure themselves, others who fight for dominance and power. We excuse the non-believers simply as those who were just not taught better in their youth and have, therefore, entered adulthood believing that the world was all about themselves.
We, however, are just happy to have found the Living Christ in our everyday lives, we believe in him, trust in him, and love him. But, once again we must turn our heads and look over our shoulder and see how HAMAS has murdered thousands of Jews in Israel after years of building underground tunnels, even beneath the floors of a hospital.
We have been witnessing now for two years, or more how Russia is killing the people of Ukraine, and destroying their lives. The hunger, the sickness, the terror! America and NATO have responded with aid to Ukraine, still the war rages on.
Now, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu has had revenge for the Israelites. Yet, he will not end the war against HAMAS and is also punishing the Palestinians to such a degree that it is difficult to watch the News as it is delivered to us on Television.
Thousands of sick and elderly of GAZA are dying without shelter, medicine, or a hospital. Children are dying of famine. Evil surrounds us. The United States thus far has been unable to influence Israel to cease fire because of the humanitarian crisis. Russia is again talking about sending a nuclear weapon into the sky near the Western part of the world.
While millions are dying at the hands of evil power-seeking leaders, and children are dying by the hundreds of famine, it is those millions of people who are unperturbed by all of this because it does not affect their little world, that is the most upsetting aspect of all.
It is time now, I believe that we might ask ourselves; “How does our God Almighty feel about all of this?” Our God is a caring, loving God who created each one of us. Could God somehow be allowing more time for change? Could our loving, merciful God be able to overlook the slaughter of small innocent children day after day? I believe you and I can agree that could not be possible.
Therefore, we might expect to look up to heaven and in just a few weeks see a sign from God, a true Warning from our creator of the world. Could it be that Satan’s time for roaming the world and convincing people to follow him is over? Could it be nearing the time of the Second coming of Christ? Do we feel that it is not justified as our world is moving along satisfactorily? Have we become oblivious to the suffering of others, are we complacent?
My emotions were followed by a letter to the White House for a National Day of Prayer for Peace. We have Presidents’ Day, Martin Luther King Day, a Saint Patrick’s Day, but it is politically incorrect to mention God. How very sad, and a possible predictor of what we all may be witnessing in the days to come, our creator.
Prayer, repentance, and remaining in the state of grace is our only defense.
