Joe Biden Said A Bad Word

President Biden better watch his language. In his hour-plus long harangue of a State of the Union speech he uttered many lies, half-truths and outright falsehoods. But the one word that has all his Democrat liberal progressive pals in a tizzy is actually the truth!

Prodded by Marjorie Taylor Greene to say the name of an innocent young woman murdered by a thug from Venezuela, he of course got her name wrong, calling her Lincoln Riley instead of Laken, but he correctly identified her murderer as an "illegal!"

What? No one is illegal! Cue the tears and turmoil! Rend your garments over the blasphemy just spoken!

Ms. Marisa Limon Garza, Executive Director of "Las Americanas," said "It was painful, and likely off-script. It's like when my father, a septuagenarian, makes an unintentional gaffe or foible." One might argue that Joe Biden's entire political career has been one unending litany of gaffes and foibles.

Nancy Pelosi chimed in with "he should have said undocumented." Rep. Joachim Castro of Texas added: "Biden's remark about immigrants was ugly and uncalled for. He's piling on to Trump's dangerous rhetoric." There's that Trump again! Living rent-free in Joe's brain.

"Biden didn't even know my child's name. It's pathetic," Laken's mom, Allyson Phillips, wrote on Facebook.

So it's a matter of two words that dominate the current conversation over the nature and content of the speech and the brain power of the man who gave it.

It's particularly telling that Ms. Garza likens Joe to her seventyish father and his gaffes and foibles. Biden has written the book on those verbal peccadilloes, and a guy named Robert Hur has opened that book for all to see.

But more disturbing is the lack of empathy for the mom of a young and promising nursing student, whose young life was brutally cut short by, yes, an illegal.

And there's the crux of this story. The storm of protest and outrage coming from Joe's own party has nothing to do with the fate of this young woman.

No. It's over his choice of words, or rather, a word: illegal. They are incensed over the politically incorrect misidentification of someone who should never have been in this country to begin with. The callousness of the liberal mind is appalling. I stand in horror before it. In its cruelty it ignores the crime committed against an innocent victim and fixates on the verbal identification of the killer.

Would she still be alive if we called him something else? Like "Undocumented," Nancy? Would that make you feel better? And you Rep. Castro, more concerned over a word than a life? What is wrong with you? And Ms. Garza, your father, with his gaffes and foibles, was never responsible for a young woman's life, as Mr. Biden is with his ridiculous open-border policy. The hypocrisy makes me want to throw up.

The truth hurts, and that's why liberals shy away from it. The man was in fact illegal. He should never even have been here. And once here, he should have been sent home under existing law. But the law is flexible in Mayorkas-land. Sadly he is only of millions roaming our land illegally from virtually every country on the globe. This is not compassion; this is not altruism, this is craziness.

How can Democrats shut their eyes to the damage the Biden policy has done to our country and its people? Certainly Laken is not the only casualty of this madness. Because of lax crime reporting we may never know the true toll of innocent victims.

There is also the disruption of what used to be called the American way of life and American communities. Schools and social services suffer due to an overwhelming influx of illegal invaders. Hospitals are jammed due to the need for healthcare for uninsured migrants in this country illegally but welcomed by so-called "Sanctuary" cities. How did that work out, Mayor Johnson of Chicago, Mayor Adams of New York, Mayor Johnston of Denver, and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles? I'm sure your constituents are proud of the mess you have made of their cities.

And you go all fizzy when Biden calls illegals illegal? Meanwhile taking funds from your schools and community services to house and care for people who should not even be here!

Despite his wobbly gait and rhetoric this mess is in Joe's lap, or the laps of whosoever is pulling his strings. Despite his allegations, this is not Trump's fault. It's not the MAGA Republicans' fault. It's your fault, Joe, you and your brain-dead free-admission, come-one come-all border policy.

On Thursday, in response to this brutal murder, the House passed the Laken Riley Act, requiring immigration to detain illegals such as Laken's killer. If it had been in effect, and if it had been enforced (two very big "ifs") she would still be alive.

But even under these circumstances 170 Democrats could not bring themselves even to vote in favor of a law that would help eliminate such a tragedy. The bill passed 251-70, with support from every Republican and only 37 Democrats. Now it faces the Dem-controlled Senate and who knows what, if anything, Schumer will do with it.

After all, what's one more young life lost when there are millions of potential voters out there, some with rap sheets as long as your arm. Call them undocumented; call them newcomers. Just don't call them illegal.
