Walk I Say

Pick up your mat and walk away

Yes I healed you on a Sabbath day

What a mistake the Pharisees made that day

Ignorant and blind were they

Blinded by their love for power

Their zeal to be above all and over

They have become lost and hypocritical 

In their judgments so very pharisaical 

When you heal on a Sabbath day

It’s not wrong I fact it’s very okay

Congratulations it’s your new child 

Born on a Sunday how wild 

There’s a fire it’s an apartment building 

Let’s roll traffic should be clear it’s Sunday morning 

But doing work to benefit oneself desire

This Our Lord says bring him sadness but not ire 

For you only hurt your own future salvation 

Risking opportunities to help you to Heaven
