To Die is to Live

To Die is to Live

To truly live you must surely die 

You must think to say these words I’m either drunk or high

But these words they are not mine 

Repeated yes but I’m just parroting the line

Our Lord too so long ago spoke these words 

To the Pharisees His disciples and the crowds 

Of they not many believed or understood 

That He was The Messiah the foreshadowed 

He also spoke of consuming blood and flesh

Most disciples then exited with minds closed and selfish 

But our Lord asked them as us today

Surrender our ego to Him every day

Do this His Will and we shall live joyously 

In Heaven with Him for Eternity 

Do our will only for me me me

In fire forever tortured eternally

Amen
