Basking in God’s Glory
Eileen Renders March 2024
Although we have heard the phrase many times, it is enjoyable to realize the meaning and how it relates to us specifically. God’s glory refers to God’s goodness, greatness, and indissolubility. Therefore, when we are basking in God’s glory, we are delighting in the warmth and comfort of His Light.
How do we then, achieve such a gift from God, and how will we recognize it when it is offered? To begin with, we must first offer up with every prayer to God, our full and sincere submission to His will. When we have surrendered our will to the will of God, we will be serving Him and His people in a way that is most pleasing to God. God’s rewards are plentiful!
Recognizing when we are truly basking in the glory of God will be shown and felt by us through an inner warmth, comfortability within ourselves, and a belief that we are living our days doing the will of God.
Again, the first and only prerequisite is that when we make this offering to God, that it is frequent and sincere. We want to make His will our focus. After that, God will accept our offer knowing how it is sincere. He will lead us and provide us with opportunities to share goodwill, and opportunities to assist his people through the talents and words he provides us with. We become a vessel carrying precious cargo, the will of God.
The grace of God will bless us with the knowledge that we are following His will, extending ourselves, our time, and our effort to do good works. And it is
In this spirit of good will we feel the joy and exhilaration of being in the presence of God. Through His divine mercy, we are, to say the least, basking in the glory of God, and we cannot help but want every human being to be able to enjoy the treasures that God offers to each one of us.
