How Beautiful is Love?
A Surprise from God when we open our eyes!
A poem of joy from heaven’s promise.
What is it we expect on the day we die?
Will it be the promise that was told to us?
Or the wish of more; Sorry: Not for you.
Be told that theme, mother was right.
Say your prayers, before you sleep,
Ask the Lord to keep you safe.
Avoid those marks of evil today,
Be sure to keep me in your heart.
As I drifted into an array of angels,
My ears kept telling me you have arrived.
What is it I see with light from above,
A chorus of joy no man could know.
Around my sense of complete surprise,
A hand reached out and lifted me up.
I heard a voice that no one has heard,
One question he said, will you stay or go?
Before me there were too many to count,
Each was different, yet all were the same.
Upon their heads there were signs of wonder,
Upon the breast of each was a heart of gold.
I knew at once the journey has ended,
My travel through time no longer calls.
God stood there amidst angels and saints,
My surprise was real, I am home!
