Fatima - Use Your Frustrations and Suffering to Save Souls
“The Eucharist is the secret of my day. It gives strength and meaning to all my activities of service to the Church and to the world.” Pope Saint John Paul II
The Mass is the Source and Summit of Our Lives (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy) because it fills every detail of lives with supernatural strength and meaning; even the mundane; especially the difficult!
Mass as the Source: It’s the place where we draw all our strength, from the perfect sacrifice of Christ (made present on the altar & received in Holy Communion), to glorify God and serve Him through everything we do and experience (prayers, works, joys, sorrows and sufferings).
Mass as the Summit: It is the place where we bring everything back to God (our prayers, works, joys, sorrows and suffering) and offer them to Christ so that he can unite them with his perfect sacrifice and offer it to the Father, for the salvation of the world.
The Church teaches us that the Mass (and the Eucharist) is the “Source & Summit” of our lives. As the source - It’s the place where we draw all our strength from to glorify God and serve Him through our prayers, works, joys, sorrows & sufferings. As the summit - It's where, each time we go, we bring everything (prayers, works, joys, sorrows & sufferings) back to God & spiritually place them on the altar, with the gifts of bread & wine, so that He can unite it with the offering of Christ and give it an eternal value. This greatly increases the value of everything we offer to Him because each one is now filled with the presence of Christ and has become a channel of his grace.
The saints lived like this. They lived from Mass to Mass. Will you?
