The Cost of Perfume

That perfume it’s so special

The rose the hyssop oh such a sweet smell

The oil it glistens as it evaporates

Its aroma its scent it satiates

Ah but it is on the pricey side

Yet it’s worth it for its odors truly satisfy

It may be clear or tinged bronze or violet

In its bottle so unique and petite

No wonder it’s often the cause of great ire

Men rushing to offer that which women desire

That power one day caused a commotion

Amongst a thief and a woman

She who desired to serve the Lord

He who only wanted the riches of this world

The better part was had by she

The perfumer of our Majesty
