Living Stations of the Cross
Diary of A Convert-Fifth Excerpt
"The Great Escape"
Here is the fifth excerpt from my journal. Enjoy!
January 29, 2024
I’ve finally done it! I’ve left the person I was living with in sin. Praise be to the Holy Trinity for Thy help and mercy! This past Saturday, while I was home alone, I packed up all my belongings and drove off.
I had recently been in touch with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. They told me they will get in touch with the closest chapter of where I am located. I had once investigated attending R.C.I.A. Turns out the R.C.I.A. instructor for my local Parish is a member. He has a friend who is renting out rooms in his house. I am now living there. I was able to move in on the same day I left my previous habitat.
I was able to attend Mass for the first time in years this past Sunday. I spoke with the R.C.I.A. instructor. I am now enrolled, so I am now able to put into motion my conversion. Praise be to Jesus! I haven’t felt this happy in the past ten years. I do pray that the person I was living with will forgive me and realize that what I did was the right thing for both of us. I also pray for happiness and conversion, well, reversion I guess…the person I was with was raised Catholic, so I pray for a return to the faith. I feel so liberated.
Thank You, Jesus, for giving me mercy! Thank You for Your majesty and help! I can now finally live my life by the Will of God! Halleluia!
