The Great Love Story
Do you know who Saint Dismis is? He is me and you. He is the good thief, that hung on a cross beside Jesus Christ. He was being executed for severe crimes that he had committed. He suffered along with Jesus, recognizing that this man, who hung beside him, committed no crime, and was innocent. He recognized Jesus's sanctity and acknowledged it.
We know right from wrong. We know when something doesn't sit just right within our gut. Are we willing to say it out loud? Are we willing to be truly sorry for our offenses? Or do we justify it with a blind eye and go on as if our day of reckoning will never come. Are we willing to say those words, so many find so hard to say, "I'm sorry"?
Judgment is coming, if not already here. I thank my God on my knees for sparing me, til I can atone for my sins. Because when I die, that's it. No more tries , no more chances. No more blind eyes..Only the truth...Saint Michael and His Holy Scales will carry them to heaven with us and I want the scale of good to outweigh the scale of bad.
Saint Dismis is shown the mercy of God, that our Almighty has for each of us also. No matter how far away we try to run, or the severity of our faults, Jesus's mercy is waiting for that precious moment when we look into his eyes and say "I'm sorry".
Thank you Saint Dimis for your brave example that is recorded in history forever, as 1 of the greatest most sincerest "I'm sorry's" that will ever be.
Jesus remember me, when you enter into your heavenly kingdom.
