Do As
It Is Done
Upon this cross for us He died
Death now gone utterly destroyed
His body bloodied and bruised
By the Pharisees was He used
His students all gone
All hid and ran except John
The ladies and His Beloved Mother
And now He returns to His Father
The crowds that days before
Were frenzied asking for more
Now they stood some harassed and some did haze
This Man whom days before set their hearts ablaze
His message now almost two-thousand years old
Is still fresh and bold
Still Satan never gives in
He looks for any way to make you sin
But this day was also meant to show mercy
For the Lord loves and forgives endlessly
For His death was so we could live eternally
Repentant yes we gain our Eternity
So when the deed was over
Most had left and gone
Our Lord looked and spoke almost a whisper
To His Father it is done
Amen
