Joy and Gratitude

Sometimes it's hard to be joyful.  Even when the time to be joyful presents itself. Like at the birth of a precious baby or the dawn of a new day with its glorious sunrise. The grace that God gives us in these wonderful moments is there. But we must choose to look at them with a joyful heart, full of gratitude. Gratitude starts the emotion of Joy. If we are grateful, then we can feel the joy.

     Everyone has their down days. The Holy Saints were grateful for their sufferings, therefore, were joyful and praised God. All of us are filled with light. The light is the Holy Spirit. Every time we are grateful and show gratitude to God , our light shines forth like a glittery star.

     When we sin or give into temptation, the light diminishes little by little and you can feel it. That's 1 reason confession is so very important. It restores our light again. The grace of God is mixed with the love He has for us and that makes the Holy Spirit smile. Because, after all, that's what created His existence. The love between God and His Son Jesus, created a spectacular 3rd person. The Holy Spirit.

     That feeling of Joy is the Holy Spirit to me. How precious a God. How omnipotent a Father. How knowledgeable, how wonderful a God that we can call our very own.
