Being a Shepard to others

When we are in a leadership position, the goal should not be to gain more power but to raise others. A leader is a shepherd. You are meant to show your flock the best way to get to greener pastures.

A shepherd pays attention to his flock. He makes sure that they are all together and moving forward. This should be the case for a leader, too. Watch over all who follow you and help them as you can.

Jesus is our shepherd toward our faith, but that does not mean that we can not help to guide each other as well. We are each meant to be Shepherds in our way.

Whether it be as a mother, a teacher, a supervisor, or simply a friend, we should strive to lead our flock toward a better tomorrow.
