A Promise of Hope
Jesus came to save us all
After that first horrific fall
When Adam and Eve succumbed to the Devil
They fell hard because of evil
Death on the Cross was His punishment
For bringing love and hope with an even temperament
But arose did He from death
When the Apostles saw taken away was their breath
He stayed with them for forty more days
Witnessing to many that death did not faze
Then He left with a promise of Hope
His Advocate would come to help cope
He promised to them and to us too
He will take what’s His and declare it to you
He will only speak what He hears
To glorify Himself to those with ears
Those who do not care to listen
Will wander in that horrible cistern
The fiery abode of Satan and his pack
Forever in Hell no way to come back
Amen
