To My Father

To My Father

A father doesn’t just watch his family grow

He helps them by telling them to follow

For that is the only way to learn

To watch and mimic not hope and yearn

Our Lord knew this and did obey

He followed His Father’s commands daily

He watched and learned via prayer

Their relationship so much greater

That is why Jesus had to return Home

Their relationship needed to be grown

It was time to do something different

Time to introduce the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit The Paraclete

Sometimes simply known as The Advocate

He was sent to guide and be with us

To aid and help us to success

In gaining our home our salvation

With our Father eternally in Heaven

With Angels and the Saints

And all the joys and accompaniments

Amen
