Whom do you worship?
There has been great debate over the word "faith", and whether or not we're saved by "faith alone".
My own view on this is that we are not (see James 2:14-26), and that we are saved by faith through grace (Ephesians 2:8-10)
Now, Jesus does mention saving faith, such as in Luke 7:50, for instance.. But, if you read it, you'll find that faith still requires more than belief. Read it in context (Luke 7:36-50, to get the background
Now, the Bible (thankfully) gives us a definition of faith.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).
So faith is not blind faith. "Evidence of things not seen". Note that it doesn't say "not proven".
I don't know about you, but I've had probably more unbelievable than I even know.
"No one could survive that", except that I did survive that. I've lived an unbelievable life, and I think I've always had the idea of God's existence (even when I acted like I didn't act like I believed in him).
I think a lot of us can be guilty of saying we don't have faith.
I've heard atomists say they don't have faith, yet they put their hope in science.
Hey, what do you know? That fits Hebrews definition of faith. (To borrow a phrase from Rod Bennett, Paul for short).
We all have faith, as much as our mental capacity allows. Even if it might not be in God.
