The Ascension

Taken up to His Father was He

No both man and God you see

The Apostles baffled and asking why

They just saw their Master ascend into the clouds in the sky

The Angels appeared to calm them down

Explaining that He’s always now going to be around

As a Spirit through the Holy Ghost

At the Eucharist as the Host

The Apostles now were petrified

Their Lord had left them right in front of their eyes

He is seated now at the Father’s Right Hand

And with the Spirit and by the Father doth judge and command

In His Rightful place now sits our Lord Jesus

In His Heavenly realm loving and watching over all of us

Amen
