Life can be hard. We get sick. We lose our jobs. We break up with our partner. These events can bring us down. When we feel down there is something easy to do that can often help a lot and that's compassion.
If we feel anger toward someone instead of thinking negative thoughts about them focus on something that's positive. In your heart give someone you like a compliment. No one is purely horrible.
This shift in our hearts can help us through the darkest times. By focusing on compassion we can soften the hard blows that come our way at times in life.
