Who Is god, And How Do We Best Relate To Him?
Relentless

For a clear picture of what is associated with the term “relentless”, it might do well to examine a couple of similar words; such as determination and stubbornness. Determination best describes an individual with passion, energy, and a strong desire to succeed. And also, with a desire to become admired and respected. Stubbornness, on the other hand, describes an individual who will not change their viewpoint, or opinion even when provided information and evidence that their understanding of a particular opinion is not compatible with proven evidence provided.
God is said to be relentless, and what are we to derive from that statement? The Catholic Bible contains several Verses from various individuals from the time of Christ, including John one of His Apostles.
John 3:16 “God’s relentless love is evident in the sacrificial gift of Jesus for our salvation.”
Zephaniah 3:17 “God’s relentless love brings joy, peace, and celebration to our lives.”
Hebrews 11:1 God’s relentless faithfulness encourages us to trust Him even when circumstances seem uncertain.
Knowing our hearts as God does, He gave us all that we needed so that we might be able to understand, appreciate, and return to Him the love and trust that He deserves.
It is not God who allows doubt and fear to the point that we are adamant about whether or not, God loves us and will truly lift us into His Kingdom upon our passing. For that reason, and maybe because we are sinful beings by nature, we fear death. We may question our actions, regret words we may have said to another human being, or do something we are truly sorry for, yet realize that we cannot take it back. What is done can not be reversed.
However, in prayer and meditation with God, we grow in trust and trust is the opposite of fear. This does not happen by any means, because we are so good and worthy. Not at all, it occurs in us because God blesses us with graces such as wisdom, understanding, love, peace, and more!
All that is required of us then, is to spend quiet time alone with Christ! As little as 10-15 minutes a day with God will change our lives, thinking, and feelings. Who of us does not want to replace fear with trust? Who of us wants to be assured that we might have a peaceful death? God asks little of us, and yes it may be difficult to believe that giving God the time that He truly deserves comes with such great rewards.
