The Bank
Your Mother
As a child she wakes you up in the morn
And cares for you as she has since you were born
Your clothes she mends
Your laundry she tends
The food on your plate
For your appetite to appreciate
Every morning noon and evening
Summer fall winter and spring
She cares for you and will do all
To warn and then bandage after you fall
Our mother who loves us so
She is there when your heart is full of woe
And when you do great things
Her heart inside with joy it sings
As she whose heart seemed so broken
When our Savior her son died for what He’d spoken
His deeds His actions to some a scourge
They felt it was He they must purge
You witnessed all as He gave you to us
You the Mother of our Lord Jesus
You now are our Blessed Mother O Mary
Intercede to your Son for us do we pray
Amen
