Looking to the Future is a Sign of Everlasting Hope
A Dialogue with God
I asked God, “how can you love me, even if I sin?” His response was, “I will always love you even when you sin.” He continued, “I even love the souls in hell.” “Does that surprise you,” he asked me? When I replied that I never thought of that he smiled and told me that he is not a God that hates anyone. “After all, when I created the earth and all that is in it I rested from all my work I had done.” (Gn 2: 3).
“Everything I made is good and not even the evil in the world came from me.” “The words from my favorite prophet, Isaiah repeating; “I am the Lord, there is no other; I form the light, and create the darkness, I make well-being and create woe; I , the Lord, do all these things. Let justice descend, O heavens, like dew from above, like gentle rain let the skies drop it down. Let the earth open and salvation bud forth; let justice also spring up!” I, the Lord, have created this. Woe to him who contends with his Maker; a potsherd among potsherds of the earth! Dare the clay that says to its modeler, What are you doing? Or what you are making has no hands?” Woe to him who asks a father, What are you begetting? Or a woman , "What are you giving birth to” (Is 45: 7 - 10).
“What about evil,” I asked him? The answer is: At first it might seem that if God created all things, then evil must have been created by God. However evil is not a thing like a rock or electricity. You cannot have a jar of evil . Evil has no existence of its own; it is really the absence of good. When evil seems to be present, that means there are one or more choices made by ungodly people that are creating this.
Going back to hell and the souls God still loves. Since God made all of us out of love he cannot not forget that love which is eternal. Those that end up in hell do so out of their own choice. God does not want any of us to go there. It is the free will choice of those who want to deny God and his everlasting love. “My love will never desire any one to go anywhere except heaven with me.” So says the Lord.
“My existence is real and I cannot contradict myself. My love is eternal and if for one second I decided to allow hate to enter the world from me it would be a contradiction to who I am. Yes, one day in human history my Son will put away the evils along with Satan and his followers. That will be the ultimate cleansing of the world that was meant to live with me from the very beginning of human life. This will be to safeguard what is left on earth and those who will live with me in eternity.”
“Do not be afraid to ask me your greatest needs and fears of the future. I am here to guide and protect your faith through my grace of love.”
