Anger and Resentment
From God To You
Eileen Renders
Have you ever reflected on how to hear God speaking to you? We know from shared stories of Saints, and visionaries that an audible sound is not heard. Understandably, this concept is difficult for us to conceive of. Yet I can explain that to you as one who has heard God’s words of guidance. It usually only occurs after years of prayer and meditation while in the state of grace without sin, or when one has received the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
When God speaks to us it can occur in a couple of direct ways. One way is while praying and talking to God. Then we become quiet and listen. A clear and rapid sequence of words passes through our mind and heart that is not something we were thinking of. The thoughts (words) are enlightening. They are profound and guiding. They provide hope and we realize they came from a greater power than what lies within us. We, as a result, experience joy and excitement realizing that God hears us and wants to communicate with us. His messages are always meant to be shared because His messages are not for the messenger alone but for all of His faithful.
Another way God may speak to us is when we are in conflict regarding a specific problem in our lives where we can find no peace or resolution. We pray to God earnestly, and then in His time, we feel we have been given an answer to our dilemma, and we feel a sense of peace come over us. We recognize God is leading us. Also, we may have experienced a sudden sense of peace and joy being in the company of one who has been graced with God’s graces and blessings of peace, joy, and understanding.
We need never envy or doubt those who have been blessed by a true and continuous devotion to God. As we mature in our faith and understanding of God and what He desires of us, we all will come to realize that God loves all of His people, and those blessed with graces and gifts through their devotion to Christ are blessed for a very special reason; that reason is to evangelize and share with others what God is waiting and wanting to give to them.
God created all and came to Earth to save all. Many are called but few are chosen. Those who are not chosen are those who are proud, and not fully submissive to the will of God. God is Love, Mercy, and Humility. Those who truly love God first and above all will imitate His ways until they become their ways.
