Give ‘till It Hurts

Please please don’t be stingy

Give all you can muster and you’ll see

Your reward My son and daughter

Will be so grand nothing will be greater

Don’t cheat those who have very little

It shows how small your heart how brittle

Give for show with no empathy

And you just might end up in the place of no sympathy

To offer a hundred or a thousand to help the needy

But unfortunately your heart’s not there you are too greedy

Don’t give a dime or penny

When you truly have the ability

Give ‘till it hurts and then give even more

Open your heart just open the door

Your final reward will be based on your giving

Of your talents time self all you’ve done everything

So give of yourself generously

For in the end the Lord will repay you handsomely
