Are we living in a shadow of evil?
The Realm of Eternity will be without question of What is?
Some of us may wonder what our home in heaven will be like. More will question why when we experience the unknown that is designed to be an environment of peace we’ve never known. Then, there will be those who have dreamed of the unbelievable expanse of a never-ending symphony with music and signs of brilliance without artificial instruments that goes on forever.
For those of us who are fortunate to be accepted into our new home of the Holy Trinity, not as guests, but as permanent residents like we had never left where we always lived. Will we question this resemblance of an always comfortable Oasis. It may appear as though we went outside to play, work, or seek new pleasures, and now returned to where we belonged.
With looking into the vast array of the cosmos and seeing as far as we are able and still cannot see an end of what we are viewing, our minds return to our own creation. Since God has always been the prime element of eternity, without a beginning, we wonder when our beginning had a starting point. With God, there is no beginning and therefore no past participle exists. Therefore, if we are a desire of God where everything is always present before him. From where and when did our souls have meaning and life as in a spiritual existence. I once wrote an article that pointed to the observance of very young babies who will return a smile to someone as if they’d already seen that person somewhere. Could it be that our creation, separate from our human physical birth, was already with God, waiting to be found in the womb of our mothers and a journey through human life until the separation of our spirits to return with a new body, that itself is eternal? A rather deep philosophical question that may have no sustenance. But, with the unknown regarding eternity and no past existence with God, the thought may not be so far apart from things beyond a human comprehension. This thought is not something to be taught, it is simply rhetorical in its expression for deeper investigation of the mind.
There is the old mention from so many who say, “when I get to heaven then I will ask God the reasons for, or the answer to my deepest thoughts of why this or that. I believe we will be so elated to be back with God in his Intense Love and LIght of purity, the questions, if any remain, will be of no consequence. One thing that is positive, heaven will be a place where our life that was promised will begin to add forever as a life with our loved ones who arrived ahead of us.
Following this thought, what about those who choose not to worship and be ever grateful to God for who we are? The words of Jesus are still profound with regards to hell that many will choose. “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter it are many. How narrow the gate and restricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.” (Mt 7: 13 - 14).
Before completing this article I want to reemphasize the truths of Christian life and death. First we were created by God, not just some petri-dish experiment. Second, Jesus Christ after his crucifixion rose in three days, as he promised. “This night all of you will have your faith shaken, for it is written: I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of his flock will be dispersed; but after I have been raised up, I shall go before you to Galilee.” (Mt 26: 31 32). His resurrection is the promise of our own resurrection at the Rapture. Thirdly, this is the theology of the Church and we are a perfect example of the same to come.
