How far we've come to bolster our faith!
The Last Sign of Hope!
As the sounds of gunfire break the silence of a restless night with the promise of treachery finally reaching us, we now need a security that will save us from the impending attacks of evil from every corner.
What is this that has broken through the walls of security that our nation judiciously established? Before December 7, 1941, the thought of any foreign enemy breaking through our solid defenses on both ocean shores was paramount to a secure nation. Then it happened! Years went by and under a sound defense of our military forces, our technological warning systems, and a government who watched as Watchmen described in Ezekial: “Thus the word of the Lord came to me: Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel. When you hear a word from my mouth, you shall warn them for me.” (Ez 3: 17). Who was there to announce a warning on the morning of September 11, 2001? Where were the watchmen on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941? And also where were the watchmen on September 11, 2001?
The passing days of wine and roses that signify a period of happiness and prosperity; where has that time in America gone? But then, when God placed Adam and his wife Eve in a garden that reflected wine and roses symbolically, it didn’t take eons to disrupt the peacefulness that God so graciously handed on to mankind. We understand how the devil induced his plan to overturn the peace that God handed on to our parents. Falling asleep in our consciousness of life and thinking nothing will enter our feeling of being secure. It occurred with Adam and Eve, and in the same manner affected America when the enemy found a weakness in our own system of trust that fell at the enemy’s intrusion on our sense of safety.
Looking ahead to the threats of invasion from anywhere on the planet our defenses must be on a constant alert at what lies just a stone's throw away. As I have written and others are also doing the same, we are in an unstable world where nuclear weapons are no longer a threat; they are aimed at crucial countries around the world and some of the leaders could at an itch pull a button to release these arsenals. The obvious safety net to curtail any of these weapons is more than counter-nuclear missiles; it is the hope of God’s protection. He is listening but how many have still believed that our prayers will be enough?
From the instance of Noah and the years the unbelievers had to change the action that was about to engulf their disregard for God to hear them, they continued with their overbearing offense of making for themselves a different god; pleasure and greed!
This somehow portrays what is going on in our selfish and hedonistic world that surely will pull down any watchmen from their watchtowers; prayer and belief that God is waiting for. A collapse of the security ensigns that we depend upon will bring the rush of a Marxist society from within our own belief system to a world no one should have to endure.
The last sign of hope may be the very essence of life from and with Almighty God.
