THE FRAGRANT BEADS
SANDCASTLES OF TIME
The Lord’s love for you, is so great, so vast! It is like the sands of the desert and seashore combined! So vast in its greatness, yet each grain of sand—there—is: each one has a face and name. Each grain being resifted by the blowing wind and surf of the sea—the continuous anointing—to resurface, to reshape, to make anew. Each breath of wind, and wave of the sea, pushes and churns, each grain finding their placement. Each grain, builds on the other, to form stockpiles of faces and names. For each grain, serves a different purpose, not by chance—but chosen, to build mountains of sand or the beach of a seashore.
If you took a handful of sand from each place and mixed them together, you could not re-separate them. Only the Lord would be able to resift each grain, in a blink of an eye. Greater yet, if you mixed the sands from all the deserts and seashores, He could resift each grain of sand in one breath. So too, if you think of this in terms of people and faces, how much greater are you to His Heart: for He has given you a place to be, a place to build; for your life can laugh and play at the seashore in coolness, or suffer with pain and tears in the desert heat.
Where He has put you, you are chosen to be. One must not forget the other, for each one could be switched, if the Lord choose. When you pitch your tent, be thankful for your tent and where you are. Do not complain of its small size or damp ground. For some have nothing—nothing at all! If you were switched, how would you endure this new task?
You have been chosen at this time of history and place of country, to flourish in its great bounty of wonders; yet you quibble and find fault with everything. You are consumed with greed, violence, corruption, lust, crime, wars, aborted babies, and have a disregard for everything. When will you be satisfied? When nothing is left? The patience of the Lord grows short, for a burning candle can burn only for so long—then it goes out. The patience of the flickering flame, relies on its source of energy: oxygen, height of wick, and amount of wax. When one fails, all fail. But the greatest of these is the spark which creates the flame. So too, it is with you, that the spark was your creation and Baptism; the oxygen, the Holy Spirit; the height of wick, your Confirmation; the amount of wax, your spiritual growth. For the size candle you are, amounts to your growth in Christ.
So it is with a sandcastle—in one breath of wind, or wave of the sea, it can be taken away in a flash. Then you will curse the wind or wave and not put blame on its foundation and substance, for the Lord has given you ample time to plant and grow. He has been patient with you, for this amount of time, so you could prepare to shape your own destiny. For comparison, think of the prophets and disciples who have written in the Book of Light, that Jesus would return soon. For this length of time, of years, soon is soon. How soon is left? A speck in an hourglass? For you have marveled through majestic inventions of the mind of man—from birth of the electric light, telephone, television, air travel, automobile, nuclear energy, to lightning fast computers, faster, faster, as man eases through the hourglass. For what is left? How much more can be invented? When will you realize, full circle will take place—when the electric light will no longer be lit?
Through this length of time, many still have not pursued their spiritual destiny—for distractions of all sorts have divided spiritual growth from materialistic self. How much time do you need? How much time is left? . These words are written to help you on your journey, while there is still time left. The most important thing for you in this life is to prepare for your eternity, yet you are delinquent in your efforts. For the soon of 2,000 years has passed. How much soon is left?
For Jesus the Lord came to save you; gave His life for you; walked on water; made the lame walk; cured the sick; brought life back from the dead! Therefore what other deed, must He do, for you to believe? For the Book of Light has been written. So many books on shelves everywhere, the covers stay closed—collecting dust like your soul—the pages unread, the words unheeded. From cover to cover, in divine scriptures, the prophets have spoken with words given to them in the Law of the Covenant. If your faith in Christ has not made you believe—then you are lost and will only understand when He comes again. Then you will realize—too late—your fate of self, has consumed your time.
For when the balance of souls is tipped to lose more than it gains, that is when the patience of the Father is no more. For the Father gave His only Son in sacrifice—for you—to suffer and die on a cross. The patience of the Father is tested, for many defy this ultimate Divine Sacrifice. Therefore the birth pains have begun, increasing, day by day—rains, floods, volcanoes, drought, famine, disease, aids, lust, crime, hurricanes, drugs, killing, injustice, abuse, killing of babies. The winds and surf blow harder and harder, and the sandcastles are swaying in the wind, balancing, balancing on the wave; waiting for the moment of time—the soon of time—to extinguish, for His coming!
