A Son You Will Receive

Don’t worry dear Elizabeth

I promise you before your death

A son you will receive

His message great his death will bring grief

His name I told Zechariah his father

It is John to whom many will come to listen and gather

To hear about the great Messiah

To be baptized but not in the Spirit’s fire

No that is for his cousin Jesus

He who came to save each one of us

John came to prepare His way

Jesus He came to teach us to pray

John is now known as The Great Baptist

A life lived short but how he did assist

In raising the awareness required

About his Cousin before he expired

To let the world know that Jesus was the one

That’s why John had come

It is now our job too my friends today

To promote Jesus our Lord in every way

To let all know that He is the Savior

That He is the One Who now lives forever

So pray to Him and do His Desire

So that you may avoid Satan’s eternal fire
