Mass Migration and The Unprepared for Death
The Ten Commandments
Submitted by Thomas Stidl
Recent news reports have announced that the state of Louisiana would like to place the Mosaic Law in every classroom. As of my last check of the news the state of Texas is thinking along the same lines. This is a highly desirable idea. It is a chance to educate young minds in moral law. Sadly, this has not been done in the recent past since prayer was omitted in the public schools.
In a previous article about the fourth commandment written for Catholic365.COM, Cardinal Ratzinger, also known as the late Pope Benedict XVI, stated in the Catholic Catechism that it is the primary responsibility of parents to educate their children. Parents and grandparents are the first teachers of a child especially in terms of moral values. Parents should not abdicate this responsibility to others especially school teachers with questionable moral values. Parents should set rigid guidelines for their young children against fighting (the fifth commandment), stealing (the seventh commandment), lying (the eighth command-ment), coveting (the tenth commandment), and obedience to parents (the fourth commandment). As a child grows older, rules against coveting (the ninth commandment), sexual misconduct (the sixth commandment), and the usage of foul language (the second commandment) should also be enforced.
Parents must begin early by setting good examples keeping the rules set for the children. They must also keep holy the Sabbath Day by going to Church as a family. Work should be kept to a minimum or postponed to the next day. The Sabbath Day is the perfect day to teach morals. It is also the perfect day to unwind from the previous week’s problems and be together as a family. Whenever possible, parents should visit their siblings with their children. Believe it or not, fun is not prohibited on the Sabbath; it is encouraged.
By keeping these thoughts in mind and putting them into action, we teach our children the basic moral law. Will we fail? Of course we will fail. That is what Acts of Contrition are made. If we fail greatly, then the Sacrament of Penance is necessary. More importantly, keeping the moral law helps to reinforce the first commandment of no having strange gods before the Almighty God. These false gods come in many forms. One form is “wokeness”. Parents must teach their children that there are only two sexes, male and female. Teaching your children that males cannot become females and that females cannot become males in the home will relieve much of the confusion in today’s schools especially during the time of puberty. Schools also teach climate change as a pseudo-religion. What our young people do not know is that the earth has been warming for approximately more than 250 years. This is the normal action of the sun. I am also saying that all humankind must take care of our planet so that future families will have plenty of resources at their disposal. Just do not make climate change a false god.
I have written this article for a purpose. With the current political climate and litigation in this country at this particular time, the Ten Commandments may not make it into our classrooms. Pseudo-religion may not allow the true religion into our schools. That would be a crime against humanity. Parents and grandparents please teach your children well so all the members of our families may be in attendance at the banquet feast of heaven.
Until next time, Laus Tibi, Christe. Deo Gratias. Gloria Tibi Domini. Praise be to God. See you in Paradise. Amen.
