Got Joy?
“They cried to the Lord in their distress, from their straits he rescued them. He hushed the storm to a gentle breeze and the billow of the sea were stilled. They rejoiced that they were calmed, and He brought them to their desired haven. Psalm 107
It is interesting that God hushes the storms of life to a gentle breeze. At times the storms of life can come upon me all of a sudden. Sometimes, the pending storms of life seem to hang over me waiting to devour me with its mighty force. In my panic, fear and distress I call upon God to rescue me. I run to Jesus and place myself and my fears in His Most Sacred Heart. In the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I find safety from the storms of life. I asked Jesus to use my pain and suffering to help heal his bleeding heart. His Heart bleeds because so many refuse to accept His love and mercy.
Many times, in my own life, I have caused my Jesus’ heart to bleed because of my sinfulness, unforgiveness and lack of trust. Lord have mercy upon me. I beg your mercy and forgiveness.
Every moment of each day, Jesus pours out his mercy upon you and me. His mercy is new every morning. I, along with Saint Paul proclaim: “So whoever is in Christ is a new creation the old things have passed away. 2-Cor.5:17.
Reflection: I give thanks to the Lord; His love is everlasting.” Jesus, I trust! Jesus, I surrender! Jesus, lead me to your desired haven (Heaven).
