Giving Praise to God through song and poetry
Another morning, another hope that only God can give us.
We may think that our desires are on a string that ends, one that too much pulling may break the threads. Yet that is exactly what occurs each moment we seek pleasure or wealth without first consulting God. Believe it or not there is such a premise that we should adhere to when looking into a make-believe crystal ball that is only found in fairy-tales.
God did not create the human creature to wander in the waste land of emptiness and loneliness. He gave to each a mind that is able to grow and accomplish wonders with his help. Each one of us has the ability to reach beyond our common strengths in our talents that are significant to us. None of us has the gift of another that is so unique that only that person excels above the rest. We find that no matter how gifted one may be in a particular area of life, there will always be another who will stand out as going further in the same expression.
Never should we allow the voices of doubt to surround our desire to reach, with the grace God gives us, to take the very talents we possess and share with the world. If you have been blessed with a voice that can move mountains with a melodious expression, use it and watch the hills become filled with the sound of music. We can only wonder what the world would have accomplished if Einstein kept his thoughts quiet. Look at St. Augustine and Thomas Acquinas in their doctoral accounts of theology if they would have thought, “O someone else has already put these movements of God’s treatises into print.
The world does not depend on one person’s ability to answer all of our needs as humans. However, we still must adhere to the intercession of God in all we attempt to accomplish. That effort pays off for new musicians, writers, actors and teachers, all who will increase the love of God for these gifts that resemble God.
If you happen to be following these articles on Catholic 365 for the first time and wonder if you can follow by sending your own words to the website, please sit down and begin to write. There are too many people who have been discouraged by some with the saying, “O why waste your time. There already are many themes written by others and you might be wasting your time.” No matter how well you write or how often you receive acclimations for your efforts, the Holy Spirit has given you the gift. Sit and write!
In seven years on this website I have written over 1100 articles. No specific acclimations or records of accomplishments. I write and maybe one item might reach a soul the Holy Spirit set aside to read and become another minister for more than we will ever know.
Our requirement to believe is God sent Christ to redeem us, but through his Incarnation became one of us and this metamorphosis is real and the reality of our life after death will follow him into eternity.
