Betray Jesus? NO-Never!!
The first words Father spoke as he started Mass Easter morning was “The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone,” and just that quick a stone was removed and new insight to those words entered my mind.
How many people in this world, including myself---have over the years looked at our life, how we look, what we feel, our weakness, events that occurred and felt deeply -----"I wish I could reject or not have this as a part of who I am."
However—hearing those words today—I saw the truth in the fact that all of who we are is dependent on those rejectable parts of our life. Every stone in our life, all that we experienced is a stepping stone, a part of the building of the temple that we are. Life’s experiences give us wisdom, understanding, compassion, giftedness---we are blessed in all that comes our way----IF we look with eyes of faith.
The person that we are is a unique, one of kind individual, created by God and a masterpiece of His grace, mercy and love. Designed by Him—every part of our physical appearance, even the handicaps or mental disabilities---all are a part of the perfect design for His plan for the vessel we are to be when we come and say Yes Lord, Thy Will be done in my life.
There are many things we detest, even hate about ourselves—not realizing that it is a part of the whole. I remember once being asked what is the greatest sin that had been committed in my life---and at that time I felt deeply that the greatest sin was ME!
I am not alone here---many feel deeply that the person that they are is unloveable, unacceptable, unworthy, despicable, low down nothing—all because of the way they received the messages given over the years by others in their lives. However, when through wisdom obtained by the classes on Spiritual Growth and Inner Healing at the Mercy of God Prayer Center---over a course of 4 years—layer after layer of misunderstanding, and false lies perceived within—were opened up to God’s healing love and forgiveness---especially as I forgave those responsible for the rejecting hurt that built up over the years.
The cornerstone of my faith now and the person who I am today is “ALL OF ME!” Who God so loved that He sent into my life ---All—so that I may be “a clay pot, used by God. We experience all so that “we always carry about in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus too, may be visible in our body.” (From 2-Corinthians 4- verse 7 on through 12—please read for this Word will give you hope.)— God ‘blesses us, breaks us, so that we can be the gift given to the world.’
This is you, dearly beloved—this is you!! Your are blessed beyond all measure, and you are the temple whose cornerstone is Jesus Christ your Lord—Who lives with in all the broken and rejectable parts of your life.
It is interesting that a person looks in the mirror, see YUCK and then proceeds to do all they can to beautify and change the ‘rejected one’ with makeup, hair coloring, tattoos, the right clothing, the bling of jewelry and piercings—but UNTIL they see the real beauty of the gift they are--- just the way they are---none of their efforts to look better---will work. Inside they still will believe ‘something is wrong with me.’
If you are still struggling with these thoughts, this is the time to come to the Healer with all of your brokenness and let the Healer set you free of that inner belief that is a lie! Be the vessel of Love that you were created to be. No more rejecting stones, let the Healer put all those stones of Knowledge in its proper place that will allow you to be gift to those who suffer just as you did and do still.
From Divine Mercy Gospel reading--John 20 verse21
“Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,
“Receive the Holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained.”
This is how you are healed, recieve the Spirit of God and forgive.
